About

The Department for Youth of the Taipei City Government will launch the Youth Overseas Internship Program in 2025. This program aims to provide overseas internship opportunities, connecting Taipei's youth with the global market, enhancing their competitiveness, and showcasing Taipei's soft power.


By collaborating with corporations, startups, government agencies, and non-profit organizations, the program offers diverse internships that enable young people to gain valuable international experience.

Program announcement and application guidelines released

Feb. 2025

Online submission of resumes, job research reports, and company-designated portfolios

Mar. 2025

Announcement of the first-round selection results

Mar.–April 2025

Two-days in-person interview workshop / Announcement of second-round selection results

April 2025

Completion of company interviews and announcement of final admission results

May–June 2025

Participants complete visa, accommodation, and insurance arrangements; pre-departure training conducted

June–Sep. 2025

Overseas summer internship program for participants

Nov. 2025

Return to Taiwan, submission of final reports, and attend a result-sharing session.

REQUIREMENTS

Requirements

(1) Applicants must be aged 18 to 45, hold a Taiwanese citizenship, and be registered, studying, or employed in Taipei City.


(2) Applicants must be fluent in the language of the internship location. In terms of English proficiency, applicants should provide an language proficiency certificate obtained within the past 2 years. Minimum scores required are: TOEFL (ITP) 543, TOEFL (iBT) 72, IELTS 5.5, or TOEIC 785.
